What is SVAF?

SVAF‌ ‌is‌ ‌a‌ ‌district‌ ‌leadership‌ ‌team‌ ‌dedicated‌ ‌to‌ ‌advancing‌ ‌and‌ ‌deepening‌ ‌student‌ ‌voices‌ ‌in‌ ‌all‌ ‌schools‌ ‌and‌ ‌across‌ ‌district‌ ‌systems‌ ‌and‌ ‌structures.‌ ‌SVAF‌ informs,‌ ‌shapes,‌ ‌and‌ ‌strengthens‌ ‌the‌ ‌district's‌ ‌commitment‌ ‌to‌ ‌inclusive‌ ‌partnerships‌ ‌with‌ ‌students.‌ ‌SVAF‌ ‌students‌ ‌work‌ ‌with,‌ ‌advise,‌ ‌and‌ ‌train‌ students,‌ ‌teachers,‌ ‌administrators,‌ ‌and‌ ‌central‌ ‌office‌ ‌staff‌ ‌in‌ ‌how‌ ‌to‌ ‌build‌ ‌partnerships‌ ‌with‌ ‌youth,‌ ‌share‌ ‌in‌ ‌decision-making,‌ ‌and‌ ‌understand‌ ‌how‌ ‌systems‌ ‌of‌ ‌power‌ ‌contribute‌ ‌to‌ ‌systemic‌ ‌school‌ ‌issues.‌
